Sands Media Partners with the GC Light Rail to Support Local Businesses
So far, 50 local businesses along the GCLR3 route have been supported with free digital resources and training provided under the initiative, delivered through Mermaid Beach-based Digital Specialist, Jackson Sands of Sands Media. As part of their business support program, John Holland is offering free one-on-one business advice and training with Sands Media to another 50 local businesses between April and October 2023. Sands Media General Manager Renae Frawley said almost 100 businesses between Broadbeach and Burleigh Heads were approached from January to March 2023, with half of those taking up the John Holland Group funded offer of Digital Solutions mentorship. “As locals living and working in Mermaid Beach with our own commercial property and small business along the Gold Coast Highway, we are passionate about helping other local small businesses,” Mrs Frawley said. “Working one-on-one with Jackson, local businesses were equipped with practical digital tools including website audits, search engine optimisation, Facebook and Google advertising."
